DC New 52 Fantasy Draft Results - Third Week!

The DC New 52 Fantasy Draft game continues! Our top point leader right now remains Jason Mance (at 49 points, with his Superman-lead team). In second place, Joseph Compton (at 33 points, with his Wonder Woman-lead team getting a boost from Wonder Woman #1 this week). In third place is Ed Broussard (at 31 points, with his Superman-lead team gaining a boost from Catwoman #1 this week).

Next week is the final 13 of the New 52, and then there will be a second month of points from all the #2 issues before we crown our winner. In addition to the points gained every week when comics are released, there is a 9-point bonus available to each team when they face off against one another in matches voted on by customers. The third week match-up found Charles Engle's team of Aquaman, Black Canary, Blue Beetle, Blackhawks & Dawnstar falling to Jason Murphy's team of Superman, Firestorm, Poison Ivy, Gates and Saint Walker! If you aren't participating in the draft and you want to vote on the 9-point versus rounds, make sure and vote when you're in the store next week. We'll do a new match-up starting each Wednesday and running through Saturday night!

Free Halloween Comic Day is Coming!

For the first time this year, Rogues Gallery will be offering up a second Free Comic Book Day, featuring mini-comics from various publishers designed for Halloween!

Come in on Sunday, October 30th and bring your kids to get some free comics featuring Strawberry Shortcake, Smurfs, Scary Godmother, Archie, Mameshiba, Donald Duck and more!

Costumes are not required (although they are encouraged), and all kids 12 and under will get a free comic. If we have any left over, we'll give them out to anyone who wants them on October 31st!

We'll also have a sale that day on horror- and Halloween-themed graphic novels!

In addition, throughout the month of October, we'll be having a sale on our back issues! All comics in the boxes underneath the back issue wall will be $1.00 each on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays! If you've been looking to fill in a few holes in your collection, October is the month to do it!

DC New 52 Fantasy Draft - Second Week Results!

The DC New 52 Fantasy Draft game continues! Our top point leader right now remains Jason Mance (at 49 points, with his Superman-lead team, coming off a strong week with Resurrection Man and Frankenstein earning major points). Tied for second are Bert Lopez (at 30 points, with his Batman-lead team) and Oscar Amos (at 30 points, gaining the 9-point bonus from the victory of his Flash-lead team over the Wonder Woman-lead team in this week's versus match). Right behind them in third is Stephen Fathere (at 29 points, with his Batman-lead team, gaining some points this week for Deathstroke and Batman & Robin).

With only 27 of the New 52 released, there's going to be plenty more changes in the points in the coming weeks! In addition to the points gained every week when comics are released, there is a 9-point bonus available to each team when they face off against one another in matches voted on by customers. The second week match-up found Geek Bombast's team of Wonder Woman, Chameleon Boy, Kid Flash, Ice and Tyroc falling to Oscar Amos's team of Flash, Booster Gold, Wonder Girl, Deadman and Wildfire. The 9 point bonus pushed Amos into a tie for second! If you aren't participating in the draft and you want to vote on the 9-point versus rounds, make sure and vote when you're in the store next week. DC New 52 Fantasy Draft - First Week Results!

The DC New 52 Fantasy Draft game is underway! Our top three point leaders right now are Jason Mance (at 26 points, with his Superman-lead team), Joseph Compton (at 25 points, with his Wonder Woman-led team) and Ed Broussard (at 24 points, with his Superman-led team).

With only 14 of the New 52 released, there's going to be plenty more changes in the points in the coming weeks! In addition to the points gained every week when comics are released, there is a 9-point bonus available to each team when they face off against one another in matches voted on by customers.

The first week match-up found Brandon Ney's team of Batman, Red Robin, Harley Quinn, I, Vampire and Arsenal falling to Jason Mance's team of Superman, John Constantine, Midnighter, Frankenstein and Resurrection Man. The 9 point bonus pushed Mance from third to first place!

If you aren't participating in the draft and you want to vote on the 9-point versus rounds, make sure and vote when you're in the store next week. We'll do a new match-up starting each Wednesday and running through Sundays!

Magic The Gathering Innistrad Pre-Release

Rogues Gallery will hold a pre-release for the next Magic: The Gathering set, Innistrad, on Sunday, September 25th!

Pre-registration is available now by emailing or calling to get on the list (we have a limit of 16 seats available to play), registration will begin at noon on September 25th and the pre-release will run 3-4 round from 12:30 PM - 3:30 PM (at the latest), with free play/trading time available until 4 PM. Please note that if you pre-register, you must arrive by 12:15 to claim your spot or it will be opened up for walk-ins.

You will also receive an exclusive Mayor of Avabruck/Howlpack Alpha promo card. We will be playing a Sealed Deck format, each player will pay $25 to receive six Innistrad booster packs to use for building a deck. Prize support will include Innistrad and MTG 2012 boosters.

In addition to the main Prerelease Tournament event, if space allows, we will offer Open Dueling, allowing any player who wants to play to purchase 1 Innistrad Intro Pack to play against each other, as well as Prerelease tournament players who are between matches.
